Die Arbeit von Kieron Jina, einem südafrikanischen Choreographen und Performer, ist geprägt von Fragen zu Gender, Vielfalt und Inklusion. Unser ganzes Leben lang werden wir von Menschen mit Labels versehen, und diese Labels spiegeln und beeinflussen, wie andere über unsere Identität denken und wie wir über uns selbst denken. Labels sind nicht immer negativ; sie können positive Eigenschaften widerspiegeln, nützliche Erwartungen setzen und sinnvolle Ziele für unser Leben anbieten. Oft sind die Labels, mit denen wir uns gegenseitig beschreiben, jedoch das Ergebnis unbegründeter Annahmen und Stereotypen. Jina wird von dem Gefühl des Chaos, das auf der ganzen Welt herrscht, provoziert und ist fasziniert von dem Theoretiker Edward Lorenz “Chaos: Wenn die Gegenwart die Zukunft bestimmt, aber die ungefähre Gegenwart nicht annähernd die Zukunft bestimmt." DREAM DANCING ist ein sanfter und doch körperlicher Workshop, der die menschlichen Sinne des Körpers erforscht. Kreatives Schreiben mit dem Körper und Spiel. Wir erforschen auch die Arbeit mit Intuition, das Beobachten des Offensichtlichen das Erfinden durch Improvisation.

The work of Kieron Jina who is a South African choreographer and performer is shaped by questions of gender, diversity, and inclusion. Throughout our lives, people attach labels to us, and those labels reflect and affect how others think about our identities as well as how we think about ourselves. Labels are not always negative; they can reflect positive characteristics, set useful expectations, and provide meaningful goals in our lives. Often, however, the labels that we use to describe each other are the result of unfounded assumptions and stereotypes. Jina is provoked by the sense of chaos that is happening across the globe and has been intrigued by the theorist Edward Lorenz “Chaos: When the present determines the future, but the approximate present does not approximately determine the future.” DREAM DANCING is a gentle yet physical workshop that explores the human senses of the body. Creative writing with the body and play. We also explore working with intuition, observing the obvious, and making it all up through improvisation.
